Typically, numerous large Generator Sets are installed which can quickly respond to local demand on the network.

We've undertaken several such models for this client recently. This one in Hull, UK had 20 units, located close to an industrial site, roads and dwellings.

Each GenSet has a number of discrete sources at various heights so care needs to be taken to model them realistically.

Source modelling is done to ISO9613 but the assessment is tricky as the GenSets' operation is infrequent.
